Identification remarks

Tree ± 48 m tall. Buttresses up to 80 cm high. Tree with cylindrical bole and wide-spreaded crown. Bark strongly fissured; slash dark brown. DBH: .. cm, ø bark 1,5 cm. Sapwood creamy-white 1.5 cm, heartwood reddish-brown, 25.5 cm. First branches at 23 m. Branches and twigs greyish-brown. Leaves coriaceous, smooth, glossy medium to dark green above, slightly glossy and paler green beneath. Flowerbuds pale green. Tree with sticky white latex. Woodsamples taken at 1-2 and 3,5 m. (L.N.P.F. A.171.).
