UNITE Community develops tools and services for the rDNA ITS-based identification of Eukaryotes and their communication via Digital Object Identifiers (DOI). It has been the driving force behind the PlutoF platform developments since 2001, and its DOI datasets of Species Hypotheses are published through the PlutoF DOI services. Close collaboration between the UNITE Community and PlutoF development team is neccessary for scientifically sound data services.
